Terms of Service

Terms for using EVDataBot

These Terms of Service govern your use of the EVDataBot mobile application. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to the terms below.

Last updated: May 28, 2026

1. Description of Service

EVDataBot connects to compatible OBD-II diagnostic adapters to display vehicle telemetry, track trips, and provide analytics for supported electric vehicles. The app is intended for personal, non-commercial use.

2. Warranty Disclaimer

The app is provided on an “as is” basis, without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of battery readings, range estimates, tire pressure values, charging status, or any other data displayed by the app.

EVDataBot is not a substitute for your vehicle’s built-in instrumentation. Always rely on the vehicle dashboard for critical driving information.

3. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the app, including issues related to vehicle damage, inaccurate readings, charging behavior, data loss, or reliance on app-provided information.

4. OBD-II Adapter Use

Connecting an OBD-II adapter to your vehicle is done at your own risk. You are responsible for selecting and using compatible hardware and following any manufacturer guidance associated with that hardware.

5. In-App Purchase

  • EVDataBot offers a single non-consumable in-app purchase ($4.99 USD): EVDataBot Premium (Lifetime). This is a one-time purchase — not a subscription. It does not auto-renew.
  • The purchase is processed through the Apple App Store and is subject to Apple’s standard billing terms.
  • A 7-day free trial of every premium feature is provided in-app. The trial does not require payment and does not auto-convert — at the end of the trial, the app reverts to the free tier unless you complete the purchase.
  • Restore Purchases is available in Settings → Subscription on any device signed in to the same Apple ID.

6. Privacy

Vehicle data is stored locally on your device. EVDataBot does not collect or store that telemetry on its own servers. GPS coordinates may be sent to Open-Meteo solely to retrieve weather conditions. Please review the Privacy Statement for more detail.

7. Acceptable Use

  • Do not use the app in a way that distracts from safe vehicle operation.
  • Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app except where permitted by law.
  • Do not use the app for unauthorized commercial fleet purposes.
  • Do not distribute or share App Store purchase credentials.

8. Compatibility and Changes

Compatibility is not guaranteed for every vehicle or OBD-II adapter. Unsupported vehicles may produce incomplete or inaccurate results. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Governing Law and Contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. For questions about these terms, contact support@evdatabot.com.

use evdatabot with the same care you'd use for any diagnostic companion tool.
